Guidance for applying to UK roles

General information written for candidates. None of it is immigration advice, and none of it is a substitute for checking the current rules or speaking to an authorised adviser.

Reading a sponsorship label

The four labels on this site describe the advert, not your chances. “Licensed Sponsor – Confirm with Employer” is the one most often misread: it means the organisation holds a licence and this particular advert says nothing either way.

Writing a UK CV

  • Two pages, reverse chronological
  • No photograph, date of birth or marital status
  • State your right to work in one plain line, without documents
  • Give evidence for claims — numbers, outcomes, scale

Avoiding recruitment fraud

  • A genuine recruiter does not ask you to pay for a job offer
  • We never ask for immigration documents at registration
  • Check that any email claiming to be from us uses our domain
  • If something feels wrong, contact us before you send anything
If you believe you have been contacted by someone impersonating TalentSponsor, tell us through the complaints procedure.

Where to get regulated advice

Immigration advice in the UK is regulated. Only appropriately authorised professionals may give it. We are not among them, and we will refer you rather than guess.
